ADP Adapted Di-Polar
ADP stands for Adapted Di-Polar. In a traditional dipole design, drivers are mounted on both sides of the speaker with their relative phase being unique. The drivers then push air outward at the same time so that the sound emanates from different sides of the speaker. This helps to spread the sound energy and to create a wider field sound. The Paradigm’s ADP technology they use a dipolar design in the top end frequencies, while the bottom end frequencies are a bipolar design. This help to achieve a clean top end using the spaciousness of a dipole, while utilising the bi-polar to achieve extended bass without phase cancellation.
